April was an exciting month for us!
We announced Sky Ball XX will be held on Thursday November 3, 2022 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX! This year marks our 20th anniversary of the Airpower Foundation raising funds to support our military servicemen and women, veterans, and their families.
“Sky Ball kicks off an exciting weekend of events for the Commanders Classic. Not only was last year’s Sky Ball event a powerful and moving event, but it was also a huge success, and I am excited to watch the event continue to grow in its 20th year. On top of the tremendous event they put together, The Airpower Foundation represents ideals and values that we are honored to support as an organization.”
Stated Sean Decker, Executive Vice President, Sports & Entertainment for the Texas Rangers & President of REV Entertainment.
Along with REV Entertainment and many other long-term sponsors, the Airpower Foundation is looking forward to our second year in this fantastic venue. Respect, honor, tradition, new friendships made, old friendships rekindled, military programs, collaborating and raising much needed funds are all goals for this grand military gala. Emerald City Band finishes out what will be a night to remember. You will not want to miss Sky Ball XX!
“The Airpower Foundation all-volunteer Board of Directors maintains their fiduciary responsibility to ensure the funds raised go directly to support the most effective military programs”. Expressed Sid Eppes, Airpower Foundation Chairman.
A big thank you to our sponsors and volunteers. The love and passion of our hundreds of volunteers, who spend months planning our gala, is a major contributor to our success!

“To the Men and Women of the Airpower Foundation,
I am extremely grateful to be a recipient for this year’s Flight Scholarship. I am currently a junior at the University of Central Florida studying Psychology. I joined the AFROTC program at Detachment 159 in my first semester of college. This past semester I took the role of Chapter President and reactivated the Silver Wings Chapter at my university.
My father served for 26 years as a Flight Engineer for various cargo aircraft and this inspired me to join the military. I wish to pursue a career as a cargo pilot for the United States Air Force. By receiving this scholarship, I am able to gain more flight hours and increase my PCSM score which is vital for being selected as a pilot in the Spring of 2020. Without this scholarship I would not be able to afford additional flight hours and I am incredibly appreciative for this opportunity.
Very Respectfully,
A recipient of a grant received University of Central Florida student”
