Sergeant Major Blaine H. Jackson is a native of Louisiana. After joining the United States Marine Corps in June of 1983, he attended recruit traning at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. Upon graduation he was assigned the Military Occupation Specialist 0811, Field Artillery Canneneer and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. He served in the USMC from June 1983 to September 2013. His duty stations included San Diego, CA.; Norfolk, VA.; Camp Lejeune, NC.; Marine Corps Air Station New River, NC.; Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC.; and Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, TX.

During his career he participated in Global War on Terrorism, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. His military awards include Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal with two gold stars, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars, Combat Action Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and numerious service and campaign awards and commendations.

 

Following his retirement, SgtMaj Jackson became active with local charities and nonprofits in the Fort Worth area such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  He

currently serves as an Advisor to the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Air Power Council and served on its Board of Directors from 2013 – 2019.
