powerful examples of courage and sacrifice
Telling the stories from our veterans to the next generation of America’s youth is crucial for preserving our nation’s history and values. These stories serve as powerful examples of courage and sacrifice, inspiring young people to appreciate the freedoms they enjoy and the importance of defending them. By sharing these narratives, we ensure that the legacy of our veterans lives on, and we instill in our youth a sense of gratitude and respect for those who have served our country. Through these stories, we not only honor our veterans but also cultivate a deep appreciation for the principles they fought to uphold.

Every year during Sky Ball weekend, the Airpower Foundation coordinates school visits with local Dallas-Fort Worth school districts to share the stories of our nation’s heroes with young Americans. Speakers have included Medal of Honor Recipients Major General Patrick Brady, SGT Robert “Bob” Patterson, Colonel Donald “Doc” Ballard, Former Prisoners of War George Rose, Joseph Mulligan, WWII Marine and Battle of Iwo Jima Survivor Don Graves, and more!
It is an honor to help share the legacies of these brave heroes to inspire bravery, patriotism, and selflessness in the next generations of America’s youth.
