Keith Mundee is a proud husband, father, grandfather, patriot, supporter of our military and first responders, and loves all things Western.

 

Keith has been in the Western Apparel business for the past 26 years.  Started his career in western wear with Miller International in Denver, Colorado as a manufacturers representative covering Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Keith ended up as president of the company.

 

Keith is currently the president at American Hat Company in Bowie, Texas where he has been since 2010.

 

American Hat Company is a 108 year old company that manufactures straw and fur/felt cowboy hats by hand here in Texas. American Hat Company is known to make the very finest felt and straw cowboy hats available on the market today. American hats are the #1 hat of choice by those in the ranching and rodeo world.

 

Born and raised in Chino, California where he played baseball and basketball in high school.  After graduating high school Keith had a short stint with the Montreal Expos, then went on to the University of LaVerne where he majored in psychology and education.  Keith then went on to be a partner in Western Fireplace Distributors and they became the largest fireplace subcontractor in the United States.

 

After selling Western Fireplace, Keith and his wife of 39 years Terri decided to build a commercial Team Roping arena on their ranch in Grand Terrace, California.  They produced weekly team roping jackpots as well as quarterly saddle ropings and other equestrian related events.

 

Keith has served as an Honorary Wing Commander of the 301st Fighter Squadron at Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, since 2017.  Keith also serves as a Board Member of the Liberty and Loyalty Foundation where they help military and first responders transition to civilian life through the camaraderie of team roping, ranching and horsemanship.
