The Airpower Foundation was proud to sponsor the 2020 Medal of Honor Convention.  After an unprecedented year of cancelled events, and lockdowns across the country, the National Medal of Honor society bravely hosted the annual Medal of Honor convention hosted in Fort Worth Texas from November 17-21, 2020.

Thanks to the incredible work of 2020 Convention Co-Chairman Medal of Honor Recipient, Mike Thornton, and Co-Chairman Captain Paul Payne, along with Patriot Award Gala Co-Chairs Bob Jameson, Chairman & CEO of Visit Fort Worth, and Connie Boucher, Vice President of the METFUND, and a team of incredible volunteers, the week was an outstanding success!

Along with onsite rapid COVID testing for all guests, excellent coordination for transportation, accessibility to masks, sanitizer, and ability for proper social distancing, the entire week of events were very well coordinated and executed keeping everyone’s health and safety at the top of mind.

The Heart Behind Sky Ball

Our premier fundraising event, Airpower Foundation Sky Ball, has raised over $20 million since its inception thanks to our generous sponsors. Sky Ball has grown from a single evening fundraising dinner, to a three-day weekend of events honoring our nation’s military and their families. Events over the weekend include educational outreach programs to local area schools, a concert for military and families Friday evening, culminating with the Black-Tie Sky Ball Gala hosted inside the brand new Globe Life Field with the Texas Rangers!  There simply is no other event in the country that matches the size and scope of Sky Ball.
